Meet Chris White of Knowles Farm. The family has been farming here for many years. It’s situated in a remote spot with Peak District views to die for. It truly is a fantastic part of the country.
Chris farms Suffolk cross sheep on the edge of the Peak National Park at around 700 feet above sea level. Chris’s stock fattens quite late in the season, creating an opportunity to eat top quality A grade Derbyshire lamb well into the new year, bridging the gap until the lowland spring lambs are ready for the Easter trade.
Chris supplies the meat, expertly prepared and butchered for our latest lamb meat boxes . We offer a full and a half lamb box which contain the following: (remember the half box has half the quantity)
Legs, cut into 2 joints – centre cut leg and shank end.
Loins and Rump – The loins are cut into chops and French Trimmed Racks (a real treat) and the boneless Rump is sliced into mouth watering steaks.
Shoulders are de boned and rolled to make a succulent roast.
Breast meat is de fatted producing a lean mince.
All the Lambs are matured for 1 week and the meat joints are vacuum packed, weighed and labelled so you can see exactly what you are taking out of the freezer. Full and half boxes ready NOW!
Is your mouth watering yet? See what our customer Peter Curlett has to say about the lamb he tried recently.
We select only the best and know from experience that these animals are very well kept and are full of goodness. See our recipe section for some great ideas. We know you’ll enjoy what we consider to be the best lamb online!
